Dear Journal, Today I got a lot of presents. It was an exciting day for me and I had a lot of fun. I got a Zaxon video game, a Donkey Kong penny bank, nerf ping pong, a 4x4 car, Scavenger Hunt, Legos, clothes, pens and an activity book, and this journal. Christmas is always a fun day for me. 1/1/84 Today I got up at about 10:35 AM. I was at my grandma's house on my dad's side of the family. I had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Then I went into the living room and watched TV for the rest of the day. Then about 6:35 PM my mom and dad came to pick me up. They just came home from Santa Cruz. We went home, I took a shower and went to bed. 1/2/84 Dear Journal, Today, I got up at 9:09 AM. I can't remember anything because it was delayed! 1/3/84 Dear Journal, Today is a school day. I had to write a report on the Vikings. I took it home after school. After school we went to counseling. It didn't take an hour like it usually does. Me and my mom and dad left early. Then I took a shower and went to bed. 1/4/84 Dear Journal, Today we saw a film about the Vikings. The bell rang right in the middle of the film. The kids that took the bus were complaining that they would miss the bus, so the teacher let us go. Today my mom, dad and I went to sign me up for judo lessons. The instructor wasn't there. So we went home, I took a shower and went to bed. 1/5/84 Dear Journal, Today my mom woke me up at 6 am to tell me I wasn't going to school because I was coughing in my sleep. So I got up and went to my grandma's house on my dad's side of the family. I watched TV for the rest of the day. My dad picked me up in the van, we dropped off his friend, and hurried to pay the phone bill before they shut off the phones. If they shut off the phones before we get there we have to pay an extra deposit. We went home, and had dinner. My mom and I played a game of Battleship. It was dark and I went to bed at 8:05 pm. 1/6/84 Dear Journal, Today I had double work to do at school because my mom held me back a day because I had a chest cold. I never finished it, and whatever wasn't finished I had to take home. We never have homework on Friday so I never finished it. I don't know what the teacher is going to do. when I go back to school. 1/7/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 11:03 am. I came out. My dad was going to fix my bike from a flat tire, but he couldn't find the pump. He went to the store and bought some eggs. While he was gone I found the pump in the backyard, so he fixed my bike and I rode it to my school on a Saturday. I met a new friend, we live on the same street. So he came in my house with his little brother. We played lots of games. He went home. So did I. My dad made cupcakes, then he and my mom went to bed. Then so did I. I went to sleep about 11 pm. 1/8/84 Dear Journal, Today, my dad woke me up at 9:06 am. We had hamburgers for breakfast. Then we went to my grandma's house on my dad's side of the family. My dad and my mom went for a ride. So me and my friend played football. After that we played basketball. Then my mom called me to go home. 1/9/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up for school. I went to school. I came home, took a shower and went to bed. 1/11/84 Dear Journal, Today is Wednesday. I'm supposed to go to judo, but we didn't. So, since it was 7:15pm I had a cupcake and took a shower and went to bed. 1/16/84 Dear Journal, Today was Martin Luther King's birthday. We got school off today. I had to go with my dad to his work. We came home. I took a shower, and ate, and went to bed. 1/17/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up for school at 7am. I had oatmeal for breakfast. I got my stuff and walked to school. I got my name on the board and I don't know why. After school I called home. My mom and dad came home from work. I got in trouble for eating stuff while they were gone. I dried the dishes. Had enchalodas for dinner. I took a shower and went to bed. 1/18/84 Dear Journal, Today I went to school. We made poems. My poem was like this: I saw a seal taking a bubble bath and doing math I went home after school, and ate dinner, took a shower and went to bed. 1/19/84 Dear Journal, Today, I got up at 7am. I did my chores and then I went to school. After I came home from school, I thought about tomorrow. Chucky is coming. I can't wait. After my mom came home, I took a shower. Then I ate dinner. After that, I read my poem to my mom, and went to bed. 1/23/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up for school late. I skipped breakfast and went to school. After I came home I got my bike and went to my friends house. After that I came home, and had dinner. Then I played my Intelevision for about two hours. I took a shower and went to bed. 2/27/84 Dear Journal, My mom and dad are going to be separated. It's not a pretty site. My mom is giving him three weeks to move. He has to leave during the night, and sleep somewhere else. This makes me sad. 2/28/84 Dear Journal, Today I got my name on the board. The girl that sat next to me at school was taking stuff out of my desk so I got mad and started taking stuff out of her desk. I put her stuff back, and grabbed for my stuff. The teacher caught me and I got my name on the board. After school my mom and dad came home. They went to a lawyer for bankruptcy and they came home. I ate dinner, took a shower and went to bed. 2/29/84 Today, I got up at 7am. I ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and hair. Then I made my bed. I turned off the electric blanket and went to school. I played volleyball before school with some of my friends. The bell rang, we went in at 8:15am. First we did reading. After reading we did math. After math the teacher read to us and we went home. I did math homework. I watched TV. I ate dinner, took a shower, and went to bed. 3/1/84 Dear Journal, Today is Friday, my favorite day of the week. I did everything that I did yesterday. My mom told me that by next week my dad would be moved to my grandma's on his side of the family. His mother. 3/4/84 Dear Journal, Today I went to my cousin's house, Justin. I was at my mom's mom's house. At 11am my mom picked me up from my grandma's house. After that we drove to my mom's work. We waited and we got picked up by my mom's friend. We drove to Disneyland all together. We had a few games of basketball. Then we played Intellivision. After that we had cake. We started home at 4pm. We got there at 5pm. I ate an apple danish. I was getting ready for my shower when the hammer fell on my foot. My mom put some ice on it. I went to bed. 3/6/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up, and did my morning chores. Then I went to my babysitter. He took me and his son to get some cookies. Then we went to school. When the bell rang to go home, I ran all the way. When I got home I watched TV until my mom got home. Then I ate dinner, took a shower and went to bed. 3/8/84 Dear Journal, Today was a regular old school day except we went on a field trip to Griffith Observatory. We had a reception with the stars. I came home, watched TV until my mom came home. Then I ate dinner, took a shower and went to bed. 3/16/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 6:45am. Did my chores and went to school. I had a reaction to the pill I took in the morning. I'm really exciting because on 3/18 we're going to Palm Springs and we're going to ride ATC's in the desert. We're going to stay at a hotel until 3/19. 3/17/84 Dear Journal, Today I got in Palm Springs and I went swimming. Then I went ATC riding. Then I went to bed. 3/19/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 6:45am. I made my bed, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and hair. I went to my babysitters house. Her husband drove me to school. We had recess in the morning then the bell rang and we went in. First we did english. Then we had recess. Then we did math. Then we had lunch recess. We came in from lunch recess and did science. The bell rang to go home, and I walked home. I came home watched TV, then my dad came home. Then we went to the store. We came home, ate dinner and watched TV. The toilet got plugged up while I was in the shower. I got out of the shower and went to bed. 3/20/84 Dear Journal, I did the same thing as yesterday but the toilet didn't get plugged up. 4/1/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 9:30am. I always get up at that time on Sundays. My mom fixed eggs and toast for breakfast. Our next door neighbor came over and talked to us. My dad came and my mom's friend left. He stayed for two hours and then he left. Then my mom cleaned out the backyard and hung up the dart board. I played darts while she mowed the lawn. I came in, took a shower and went to bed. 4/4/84 Dear Journal, Today in school we had tests. It's close to summer vacation. 4/12/84 Dear Journal, Today was my birthday. I got a camera, stickers, and a glowing frizbee. I turned 11 today. 4/20/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 10:30am. It was windy outside. So, since I had nothing to do, I called a club meeting. After the meeting was over, I took a shower and went to bed. 4/22/84 Dear Journal, Today is Easter. We got up at 4am so we could see the preacher. After we left we went home. My mom mowed the lawn and my dad worked on the school van. After that we went to my grandma's house and had an egg hunt. I got a new frizbee. I have 8 Frizbees. At my grandma's I burned my leg on the rug. After I came home I took a shower and went to bed. 4/24/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 6:20am to get ready for school. I left to walk to school at 7am. When I got to school it was morning recess. When we went into class, we did reading. After second recess we did math. After math we did english. Then the bell rang for lunch. We ate then we came in. Then we did history. Then we went home. When my mom and dad came home we had macaroni and cheese for dinner. Then I took a shower and went to bed. 4/25/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 6:10am to get ready for school. I met my friend at the corner of the street and went to school. After school I came home with my friend. When I got home I watched TV until my mom came home. Then we found out that I grew 2 1/2 inches. After that I ate, took a shower and went to bed. 4/28/84 Dear Journal, Today we went to my dad's softball game. His team won 33 to 13. After that we went to a bar to celebrate the win. My dad drank 2 Rum and Cokes, and 3 beers. He got drunk. Today we set our clocks ahead one hour. It was late when we got home. I took a shower and went to bed. 4/29/84 Dear Journal, Today I woke up at 8am. I stayed in bed and looked at some old "Return of the Jedi" collectors cards. I did that until 9am. Then I got up and ate breakfast. After I ate I watched "Star Wars" on the VCR. Walked around in the mall. We stopped at the pet store. My mom said I might be able to get some hamsters if my dad says yes. I might get a hamster called a teddy bear hamster. I going to get black and white, and a brown and white spotted hamsters. After we came home I took a shower and went to bed. 4/30/84 Dear Journal, After school today I went to judo. After judo, I took a shower and went to bed. 5/1/84 Dear Journal, Today in school we did testing. It took 2 hours. I came home, ate dinner, took shower and went to bed. 5/2/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 5:55am to get ready for school. Before school got out we had track. After I watched TV until my bedtime. 5/3/84 Dear Journal, Today after school my partner came over to study with me. After my partner Visith left there was an accident down the street. A man had an overdose of drugs. After that I took a shower and went to bed. 5/7/84 Dear Journal, Today I was sick so I stayed home from school. After my mom and dad came home I took a shower and went to bed. 5/19/84 Dear Journal, Today I was on TV. I ran in a school event and was filmed by cable TV. 5/22/84 Dear Journal, Today was a regular old school day. After school as usual I watched TV until my mom and dad came home. After they came home we had chicken noodle soup for dinner. Then we had ice cream. After that I took a shower and went to bed. 6/3/84 Dear Journal, Today I had my first judo tournament. I won third place. I got a bronze metal. I got a t-shirt patch, a free lunch ticket and a certificate. Chucky was there to see it. 6/7/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 5:55am. I went to school after I came home I watched TV. After my mom and dad got home I ate, took a shower, and went to bed. 6/8/84 Dear Journal, Today I got a certificate at school with a free ticket to Knott's Berry Farm, but we didn't go. 6/9/84 Dear Journal, Today I got woke up by my dad at about 10am. We were going to a picnic but we decided to stay home. Today we saw Star Trek 3. I got to bring Viseth along with us. I had a fun time today. 6/10/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 9am. I had bacon and eggs for breakfast. After that I went to Viseth's house. We played two games of chess. I won both games. After that I went home and had hamburgers for dinner, took a shower and went to bed. 6/12/84 Dear Journal, All I could think about today was that the school Olympics are tomorrow. I'm in the 50 yard dash. 6/13/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 5:55am to get ready for school. Today at the Olympics at school I won first place in the 50 yard dash. My mom was proud of me that I got a first place ribbon. At judo tonight there were only three people. So he let us out an hour early. He drove me home, I took a shower and went to bed. 6/16/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 7am. I started fixing my sticker book. It took me 5 hours. After that I ate lunch. After a little while I had dinner, then I took a shower and went to bed. 6/21/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 9am. I did thirteen pages in my fractions work book. Today I earned 102 points on my chart. I spent most of the day cleaning my room. I'm going to save for my hamsters starting today. I'm not going to spend any money until I get my hamsters. If I do get them. People are lighting firecrackers before it is time. I heard an M1 go off. That is a stick of dynamite made into a firecracker. After the day was over, I took a shower and went to bed. 6/22/84 Dear Journal, Today I had judo. After judo I took a shower and went to bed. 6/26/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 10am. I had breakfast. When I got home I put up posters in my room. After that I took a shower and went to bed. 6/28/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 10am. Viseth came over. We played with my army men and my tanks. After that my other friend came over just to play my Intellevision. After that I took a shower and went to bed. 6/29/84 Dear Journal, Today my dad went to work. He came back. I had gotten up and I ate breakfast. At judo I had fun. After judo I went to bed. 6/30/84 Dear Journal, Today is the end of June. I am really looking forward to the 4th of July. I got a new secret box. It has a picture of a rose on it. I wrote a letter to pastor Chuck Smith. After the day was over I took a shower and went to bed. 7/1/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 9:30am. My mom fixed eggs, sausage and bisquits. After that I colored with marking pens until dinner. We has steak, corn, and mashed potatoes. After dinner I watched Knight Rider. After that I took a shower and went to bed. 7/2/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 9:30am. I made a lego ship. Then I watched the twilight zone for one hour. After that I did my doodle art for 9 1/2 hours. Then I colored for 1/2 an hour. Then I got dressed and went to bed. 7/3/84 Dear Journal, Today is the day before the 4th of July. My dad bought a 59 piece set of fireworks. It was 15 dollars. Tomorrow we're going to my grandma's house on my dad's side of the family. After the day was over, I took a shower and went to bed. 7/4/84 Dear Journal, Today we had fireworks it was very fun. After we come home I went to bed. 7/5/84 Dear Journal, Today I got my skateboard. My mom and dad went to a bar and didn't come back until 9:30pm. After they came back I took a shower and went to bed. 7/6/84 Dear Journal, Tonight I had judo. Earlier I put my first scratch on my skateboard. After that I went to bed. 7/10/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 10am. After that I went to Viseth's. I stayed there until 7pm. After I ate, took a shower and went to bed. 7/12/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up in the morning and went to my grandma's house on my mom's side of the family. After that I went to bed. 7/14/84 Dear Journal, I didn't write in my journal yesterday because I was tired. Today grandma Jeanne bought me a model. I saw Jaws 3. At night we went to Godfather's pizza. After that we went to Nona in the hospital. After we came home Nick and I took the dogs for a walk. After that I worked on my model. Then I went to bed. We're going to arrowhead tomorrow. 7/15/84 Dear Journal, Today we got up early to go to Lake Arrowhead. We drove for an hour and a half. We stopped at a restaurant. I had sausage, eggs, and cut potatoes. We went to the house we were supposed to take care of. After that we went home, I finished my model, we took the dogs for a walk. I went to bed. 7/16/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up and painted the wall at my grandma's house. Today I watched Nadia. After that I went to bed. 7/17/84 Dear Journal, Today I slept in the trailer. 7/18/84 Dear Journal, Today I slept in the trailer. 7/20/84 Today we started up to Big Bear. It was me, my mom and day, my Uncle Raymond and Aunt Laura and her daughter. When we went it was 12am. We didn't find a place to camp until 5am. We went to sleep after we found a clearing. 7/21/84 In the morning we didn't do anything until 1pm. We went for a ride in the Toyotas. We were going up hills that were steep. And we were tipping on our sides. We had lots of fun. 7/22/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 8am. I had pancakes for breakfast. After that we went for a ride in the Toyotas. After we came back to the campsite, we loaded up and started home. We got home about 8pm. I took a shower and went to bed. 7/24/84 Dear Journal, Today I got 150 points. When I get to bed, I'm going right to sleep. 8/21/84 Dear Journal, While I haven't written lots of good things have happened. For one thing I got promoted in judo. I'm a yellow belt now. I got my hamsters too. I'm going into 6th grade in a couple of weeks. I went to my grandma's house on my mom's side of the family. My aunt Sue was there and my three cousins were there Jessica, Andrea and Justin. Today was dull. My dad locked me out of the house. After that I took a shower and went to bed. 8/28/84 Dear Journal, The cat is being friendly to me all of a sudden. Today I got dinner from Burger King. Today was a good day. 8/30/84 Dear Journal, Today I got up at 10:30am. Nobody was home. I watched Different Strokes. I sketched. I watched BattleStar Gallactica. I took a shower and I went to bed. 8/31/84 Dear Journal, Last night something had happened to my hamsters. My hamster got out of the cage and ran into the fan which was running. He hurt his eyes. My mom knows about this. My dad doesn't. I have a judo tournament, September 2, 1984. Tomorrow I'm going to the beach to try my new belly board. After I came home from judo, I took a shower and went to bed. 9/16/84 Dear Journal, Today was not our day. We were going to pick up a bed at Chucky's house. My dad went and got my uncle's truck to put the bed in. When he got there no one was home. So my dad called my mom and told her to come over there. On the way over, my mom ran over a board. Right when we got over there we got a flat. Where we went to get a tire was closed, except Pep Boys. So we got a tire there. We were going to mount it somewhere else. The first place my dad went to was closed. He finally got it mounted and started over to Chucky's. On the way over we didn't make one green light. We finally got the bed and went home. After we got home I took a shower and went to bed. 9/17/84 Dear Journal, Today I missed a question in school social studies. I stayed up late. After a little while I took a shower and went to bed. |
